4-H Program

The South Devon Associations provide incentives and prizes to anyone enrolled in a 4H club or competition that are showing South Devon cattle. Please be sure to check with your association in your area.

The A Lazy S Cattle Co. will also add to the awards if you are showing an animal that was purchased from us. Below is a list of the incentives and prizes we will award. Competitors will allow us to advertise, publish and promote themselves and their cattle.

• Register in a 4H club and you will receive an A Lazy S Cattle Co. promotional gift.
• Champion placement within your club will get you $100.00
• Reserve Champion placement within your club will get you $50.00
• Grand Champion placement within an interclub 4H competition will get you $150.00
• Reserve Grand Champion within an interclub 4H competition will get you $100.00

We are very proud of our South Devons and the above awards should not be misconstrued as payoffs. Our added awards are meant to encourage excellence in animal husbandry, nutrition and to the overall health of the animal that a competitor may be showing. An animal’s condition and score directly reflects upon the competitor and the breeder.
